About Carnivale de Beausoleil
CARNIVALE DE BEAUSOLEIL has been founded since 2023.

Over the years, it had been our Captain, Lori Landry's vision and hope to form a Mardi Gras Krewe in Broussard, LA. The goal was to form a Krewe that was different, unique, fun, and for members to get to know one another.
She then invited like-minded individuals who had a love for Mardi Gras almost as much as their love for the City of Broussard. Maxine Hollier and Lori met with John Harold Broussard, Pam Zuschlag, John Ducrest, Sarah Hulin and Susan Klingman (along with their spouses) and discussed what they wanted to bring to Broussard. It did not take long for everyone to say, “Let’s do this!” Hence, Carnivale de Beausoleil was born!
Carnivale de Beausoleil is a Venetian style Krewe where each Court Member represents a specific Venetian Mask that ties into their character for the ball.

The official emblem of the Krewe is a Coat of Arms, and each portion has a special meaning:

-
The Crown represents the King and Queen
-
The seven points of the Crown represent the 7 Founding Couples
-
The eight dots on the crown represent the 8 Royal Court Members
-
The Fleur de Lis represent Mardi Gras
-
The 2 Venetian Masks represent that we are a Couples Krewe – but, of course, singles are always welcome
-
The sun is two-fold – the sun represents Beausoleil and the symbol inside of the sun is the cattle brand of Jean Batiste Broussard
